Preaching the Word - Reaching the World
Here at Christ Central, we try to be about only one thing: JESUS. He is the reason we are all here. He is the One about whom we sing and teach. And He is how a group of people who are so different can genuinely love each other. We’re not perfect here. You don’t have to be either. Jesus is perfect so we don’t have to be. Our prayer is that you feel welcome with us. More importantly, we pray that you see Jesus during your time with us.
Our mission might start in our building, but Lord willing it will not end there. We want to be a part of the preaching of the Gospel in every corner of our world. We do that through strategic mission partnerships and the sending of our own people to the mission field.
Our Distinctives
Authentic Worship
People were created for worship, the worship of God. At Christ Central, the goal for our corporate worship is to be an expression of our inward devotion. No show. No hype. No entertainment. Jesus, as revealed in the Scripture, stands at the center. Not us.
Missional Heart
To follow Jesus means to love others as you love yourself. To follow Jesus means you are joined in his mission to make disciple of all nations. The church exists to mobilize its members to go to neighborhoods and nations.
Doctrinal Depth
The Word of God provides for us all that we need for life and godliness. We don’t want to just dip our toe in; we want to dive deep into all that God is and all that God says.
Culture of Grace
None of us are perfect. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. To receive God’s grace moves us to show God’s grace. We don’t excuse sin, but we do extend grace.
Covenant Membership
Church should be more than just an event or a reluctant add-on to a busy life. It should be a place of joy, love, community, family and service. We take seriously our commitment to Christ and our commitment to each other.
